Thirty years ago premium cable television wasn’t what it is today and the same rotations of a dozen or so movies would play regularly for months. Many of the films that shaped Phantom were part of that ages-old pattern and were seen many times over the course of that magical decade.

The Ice Pirates is one of those cherished movies. Starring Robert Urich and featuring cameos from the likes of Anjelica Huston, John Carradine, Bruce Vilanch(!) and even a babyfaced Ron Perlman, The Ice Pirates is an often overlooked piece of genre entertainment that blends science fiction, comedy, and swashbuckling action into an unforgettable outer space adventure!
